Problem with configure cache (Cache Status: Not Configured)
i have two near identical machines ProLiant DL360 G7 with P410i.
One works ok, second has major problems with performance. What they differ is cache, on first:
=> ctrl all show status
Smart Array P410i in Slot 0 (Embedded) Controller Status: OK Cache Status: OK
On second:
=> ctrl all show status
Smart Array P410i in Slot 0 (Embedded) Controller Status: OK Cache Status: Not Configured
On second - show config detail show:
Cache Board Present: True
Cache Status: Not Configured
Accelerator Ratio: 100% Read / 0% Write
Read Cache Size: 0 MB
Write Cache Size: 0 MB
Drive Write Cache: Disabled
Total Cache Size: 144 MB
No-Battery Write Cache: Disabled
I tried to find any way to "configure" cache - but it failed. I can enable drivewritecache, but - it doesn't "configure" cache.
Have you any suggestions what do with it?

Re: Problem with configure cache (Cache Status: Not Configured)
hi,
Have you configured any logical volumes? You can also try to reseat the cache module and to update the FW of the controller.
regards,

Re: Problem with configure cache (Cache Status: Not Configured)
You need an HP SmartCache license and you must Disable the HP SSD Smart Path.
