Re: Problems Proliant 800 - Processor in incorrect slot
It seem you have got a defictive VRM or CPU, at CPU 1.
You must have a working CPU, at CPU 1 for the server to work.
A catch is, that cpu 1, now is marked bad, and swapping won't get it on-line.
So you also have to clear the error log (IML).
So:
1. swap cpu and vrm 1 and 2.
2. Clear CMOS, see inside of lid for witch switch to clear.
Aslo, just for saftety. Remove disks, untill you have fixed the problem.

Re: Problems Proliant 800 - Processor in incorrect slot
On the switch block, on the system board.
Move Switch 6 to off.
Power on ther server for 10 secs.
Power off.
Move Switch 6 back to on.
This will clear the check sum of the CMOS.

Re: Problems Proliant 800 - Processor in incorrect slot
Remove CPU 2 and VRM 2.
Clear CMOS
If that doesn't help.
Remove CPU 1 and VRM 1.
Put CPU 2 and VRM 2 in socket 1
Clear CMOS
Ensure you have the CPU and VRM in the primary slot.
