Problems adding 2nd disk
Hello,
I'm having a problem with my HP Proliant ML150 G3 Server.
I added a new SATA (Hot-plug) 160GB disk that's equal to the one that was already installed and running Windows Server 2003.
The problem is that HP Smart Array E200i is only finding 1 logical disk at the begining.
Note:when I insert the disk in the bay, the disk turns its light on so I guess is not a hardware problem.
Any help please?
Regards,
Duarte Figueira

Re: Problems adding 2nd disk
Hello Duarte,
Welcome to the Forums.
Check the cabling. Also try a power cycle on the server.
When you say "The problem is that HP Smart Array E200i is only finding 1 logical disk at the begining." ... Do you mean the POST screen when you see the controller initialized & the disk information ?
Or do you mean the ACU ?
:) Regards.

Re: Problems adding 2nd disk
Hello James,
Thank you for your answer... but the problem still remains.
I tried to insert the disk in different bays but stills the same.
The (green)disk led turns on when I plug it so I guess is not a cabling problem...
In the POST section, it isn't found more than the logical disk drive.
So when I go to ACU there "Disk Utility menu, it says: there are no SATA drives found (at the POST)"
Thanks.
Regards,
Duarte
