Problems configuring DL 360 G2 with smartstart
I have a DL360 G2 that I'd like to put Win 2003 on. I used Smartstart version 7.4 to set up a raid 1+0 arrays and then start an assisted installation of Window 2003 server, enterprise edition.
The wizard goes through all the steps, but when it gets to "copying files, server will reboot when finished," it seems to go on forever. It's been 10 hours now and the hard disks / cd-rom are still active. It should be done by now, right?
Any help would be appreciated,
Jeff

Re: Problems configuring DL 360 G2 with smartstart
Why is the CD-ROM still active, I don't know. Hard drives a probably active, because RAID controller is scanning disk in the background. Reboot the server, clear the nvram, make sure you have the latest BIOS and Smart Array firmware installed on the server (upgrade it if necessary using SmartStart Firmware Maintenance CD), try using different version of Smartstart CD (latest is 7.70).

Re: Problems configuring DL 360 G2 with smartstart
Thanks for the help. I tried each step and the SmartStart process still hangs at "SS is configuring your system, and will reboot when done." It's been like that for about 18 hours now.
