Re: Problems installing Redhat/CentOS 5.1 on DL180 G6 / P212
We are still awaiting a resolution from HP.
They changed our WD's for Seagate, but still on SATA interface. Configuring a RAID set does comply now, but an installation of any OS will still cause a freeze of the entire system.
Our CASE has been upgraded to level 3, where several engineers are working on a solution. We have requested HP to make the same changes as deployed to you.
They are investigating this matter and kindly asked us to wait..
Regards,
Remy and Willem

Re: Problems installing Redhat/CentOS 5.1 on DL180 G6 / P212
we have a big problem with two servers like that:
a) dl 180 g6 - smart array p212 - 2x250GB Sata seagate + 10x1TB SATA WD
b) dl 180 g6 - smart array p212 - 2x250GB Sata seagate + 2x500GB SATA WD
the os installed is win2k8enterprise64bit, the system was installed but it crash everytime we copy something (from network, from usb driver from other hd and from same directory too).
We tried using all possible configuration of Disk and Raid. Last test we do, the servers were configured with only one HD (Seagate).
Have you any idea?
p.s.: we haven't SAS disk good for this server's model

Re: Problems installing Redhat/CentOS 5.1 on DL180 G6 / P212
Ours is a P212/Zm model
This is a family member to the P410 and P810 series.
We are currently running the upgrade.
Does your first system react as it should after the upgrade?
Regards,
Remy
