We have an ML350-G3 Proliant which displays an error both in POST and Windows regarding the accelerator battery on the Smart Array 6400.
This error means that we cannot perform basic functions like adding a hot spare etc.
HP told us to upgrade the firmware as it's a known issue, which I have done, for both the Drives and the Smart Array, but the error still remains....
Anybody have any suggestions? Or is it a case of getting an engineer out?
Sorry if this has been asked, I'm just losing hope with HP getting back to me in good time, I've already had to open a second support request.
Thanks in advance for your help
Jon

SolutionIs it a New Battery ? Ideally a new battery takes 72 hrs to charge completely.
If not, Run a Array diagnostic Utility.
This will tell you if the battery is failed.
Once confirmed ask the support team to replace it. You may request for an Onsite CE if you dont want to do it urself.(provided, you have appropriate warranty/carepack/contract)

Re: Problems with Smart Array 6400 accelerator battery on ML350-G3
It's not a new battery, so I will assume it actually has failed then.
I do have a service agreement, so will try to arrange an Engineer to come out.
What is the best way to get a response in order to get an Engineer out to us? I'm in the UK - Will emailing them suffice, or should I try calling?
Thanks again
