Problems with W2K Installation

After installing Windows 2000 both the ATI Rage IIC PCI video adapter and the PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge drivers will not load because of the following error: "This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12) If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system."

I have tried to remove other devices and they still will not load. I've installed the latest video driver and it does not appear to make a difference. I've deleted the device and had it auto-discover but still no success.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Rick

Re: Problems with W2K Installation

Rick,
Do you have access the the 4.90 Smartstart CD? You should be able to go into the D:\cpqsupsw\ntcsp\setup.exe ...This should update all the drivers to current ones or at least *semi*- current ones--enough to correct issues and get you running again...

Also, do you have pcAnywhere installed already? If so, remove that and then try the driver update. Reinstall pcAnywhere after the drivers.
