Procedure to Install Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition

Hi,

As presently the G8 servers are coming with the Intelligent Provisioning 1.6x or later versions which is not supporting the Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition.

I need to install the Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition by using the Intelligent Provisioning. Currently the embedded Intelligent Provisioning is of version 1.62 which is not supporting Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition.

Can anyone please let me know the steps what I need to do the installation of Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition by using Intelligent Provisioning.

Regards,

Neeraj Kumar

Check

http://h17007.www1.hp.com/us/en/enterprise/servers/supportmatrix/windows.aspx#.VuAdMHokTqk

and there is 2008 R2 only.

You could try to install from a standard media and install specific drivers later, but obviously this OS is not supported.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: Procedure to Install Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition

Hi Torsten,

Thanks for your reply.

I checked the url but the Standard edition of the Windows Server 2008 is not listed there.

Only R2 and above are listed.

So if you can suggest for Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition SP1/SP2 which was in use earlier to R2.

Regards,

Neeraj
