Processor Board Upgrades....Single, Dual, or Quad...
I have a Proliant 2000 at the office that I wish to upgrade to a faster processor(s) (Currently 486/50 x 1). I am wondering if the Pentium 90, or Penrium 100 boards are compatable with this machine. The Pentium 100 board is Compaq item #184793-001, and the Pentium 90 board is Compaq Item # 163848-001.
I would also like to know how many of these boards can be installed into the system (I know that I can only physically add two boards due to the drive array chassis beign in the way. But, I might pull that out or rack mount the server to gain access to the #3 and #4 slots.)
Where could I find the specs regarding the MAX memory that this machine can handle? It has 180MB in it, and has 4 slots free on the add-on memory board that is installed.

Re: Processor Board Upgrades....Single, Dual, or Quad...
Only (1) Processor 486/50, Pentium 5/66, and 5/90 MHz can be utilized -- The 100Mhz Processor Part #184793-001 is used for PL4000 Server
Maximum Memory is 512MB SIMM
Hope this helps
