Processor not Suported New Processor Proliant 3000R

I try to intall new PIII 500/100/512 i recived error:

Processor not Suported
system Halted

The new processor is compaq

What model is the 3000R as the went across various processor types. ROMPAQing the system can normally cure these issues if the processor has a stepping that is not supported in your current system.

is a Compaq Proliant 3000R 6/500

Updating the BIOS on the server should work for you.

I have only one processor.

the first processor is missing.

I buy another one from eby bust is compaq y work fine in another motherboard.

But when i put it in proliant 3000R P09 i recibed the error:

UNSUPORTED PROCESSOR DETECTED
System Halted.

1. You have to set the DIP switches correctly for the processor speed.

2. You need a VRM module also, a processor on its own is not enough

Processor is a PIII 500Mhz/100/512

I set the Dip switch.

1 ON
2 OFF
3 OFF
4 ON
5 OFF
6 OFF

I have the VRM
