Processor upgrade confusion.

I have an 1850R that came with one 400 P-II CPU. I have seen posts where one person said there's no upgrade path to 600, and another who said there is? Which is it?

This machine is not under warranty, and I have no problem trashing it. Is there any "unofficial" upgrades I can do to get to 600 MHz i.e. not worried about voiding the warranty upgrades... I still have yet to find ANY document on these that shows the 600 MHz switch settings.

Indeed you can, confusion rains but it never pours, check out this URN for your answer. one word of warning you must ensure you fit the Thermal upgrade kit or it will all end in the sound of fire trucks. Bill in the post.
