Processor upgrades
I don't have a serial number as tag is missing.
I have purchased a processor upgrade from single Pentium pro to dual P2 333 (P/n298046-B32 & 333555-B21), together with a memory upgrade - 2x256 mb, but get the error message - processor can't cache that amount of ram. The processor documentation indicates that 128mb is largest usable Dimm, but Compaq options states 256mb is OK - P/n 271910-001 I have upgraded firmware with SP15911 & sys config utility 143811, still doesn't work, can anyone help please?

Re: Processor upgrades
There are special ROMs on the System I/O Board of the 333MHz model that need to be swapped out with those from the Pentium Pro model. The System I/O Board for the 333MHz and 200MHz ProLiant 2500 servers are identical except for these ROMs
