Prolian DL servers and UPS shutdown...
Hello --
I am having a problem configuring my Proliant servers to shutdown to a state where when the power of a UPS cycles the machines come online. Right now I have the machines shutting down completely and powering off but I cannot seem to find out how to get them to fire up when power is restored.
I hope that this explaination makes sense, if not I can help answer questions as needed.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
Wes

Re: Prolian DL servers and UPS shutdown...
Are you running windows 2003? If so when the UPS shuts the server down do you get the "It is now safe to power off your computer" message. If you don't get that message have a look at this article:

ThereтАЩs your problem!!! This thing is set to EVIL!

Re: Prolian DL servers and UPS shutdown...
Thanks for the reply. I saw this on the downloads page for the proliant servers but it did not work for me. Now, to be clear, the UPS is not connected to this machine it is on another PC that calls a batch file to shutdown that computer. Is this supported workflow for this fix and if so then why does the server still not boot.
Thanks for your help.
