Proliant 1200 Power Supply

Hello all,

i have a ProLiant 1200 here that i don't know what happened to the power supply. I got it from an auction.

It worked OK for two days, and suddenly it powered off and i never saw it work again. The power supply clicks ramdomly, i suspect that is the problem. Could it also be the power switch? i got a 5v reading from that P5 connector. The PS fuse is OK.

How can i be sure that the Power Supply is good?

i found a 325W power supply from a PL1600, can it work on the 1200? it's the 250975-001.

Thanks!!

Re: Proliant 1200 Power Supply

Hello,
Usually if the power Supply fan is spinning when you plug it in then it's not the PS. Have you tried plugging in into a different outlet?? The P/N for the PS for PL1200 is 149011-001. If the connector for the PS from PL1600 is the same then there is no harm connecting it.

Hello Tiago,
Just make sure that the connector is alright and you should be able to use it.
