Installed Win2k via smartstart. Microsoft Auto Update will not show available update.
Win2k / SP3 / IE6
Have tried a few of the Q articals but to no avail...
Please help if you can. Thanx

Can we get some details? What update does not show up?
When you are at the Windows Update website, you can click the link that says "View Installation History" and it will give you a list of all the patches and such that are installed on the box.
Let us know?

I just finnished installing W2K ADV Server, SP3, IE6.
I followed the Smart start 5.5 Installation.
After 'Scanning' for updates it lists 0,grayed out,0
Installation history grayed out.
On the 'Windows Update Catalog' and I quote "Windows Update has encountered an error and cannot display the requested page." Send error number 0x800A138F to Microsoft. AHHHHHH!
Well not the scream...
I have deleted c:\programefiles\windowsupdate
a few time and tried the update again...nothing..
Please advise.

Fixed it!
The BIOS YEAR was set to 2004.
Changed it to 2003 ans all is well.
