Proliant 1600 HDD firmware upgrade
I'm trying to install CP004493.scexe ( ROM Flash Component - BD146863B3, BD072863B2, BD036863AC, BD03697633 drives: 72.8Gb 10K Ultra320 SCSI) version HPB5 B (4 Jun 04) in a Proliant 1600's Smart Array 221 controller (System bios is latest 11/08/2000 and smart array at latest 4.50)
My problem is that CP004493.scexe installs from ROM Update Utility v1.1 not available from Smartstart 4.40 (which came with server)
Smartstart 6.40 (which came with a newer server doesn't support this version)
Smartstart 7.10 (downloaded loads but freezes with major distortion of video (probably do to no support for video card or something like that)
Is there anyway to get a stand-alone version of ROM Update Utility, like a diskette set?
As always thanks in advance for any clues, help you can provide.
