Proliant 1600 - System Halted
The server was in storage for 2 years and no one has fiddled with it. The last time I used the server it WAS fully functional.
Any suggestions?

Re: Proliant 1600 - System Halted
Are you sure someone hasn't "borrowed" one of the CPU's in all that time? You might get this error if the system had been a dual processor model and CPU1 has been removed, leaving only CPU2. Not sure but it's worth removing the processor cage and checking. CPU1 is nearest the memory dimm slots. It has a Processor Power Module (PPM) assigned to it as well (See attached image items 11 and 12).
If you discover that CPU1 is indeed missing then move the other CPU to this slot. Make sure you also have only the correct number of PPM's installed. IF there are two PPMs and only 1 CPU then remove the extra PPM assigned to CPU2.
Just a thought....

Re: Proliant 1600 - System Halted
I have tried moving the CPU accross to the second CPU slot (including the PPM module) and I get the same message.
