Proliant 1600

I replaced a failed hot swappable drive with a new one. The setup is (3) 73 GB drives in a RAID 5 array. I upgraded the scsi controller's firmware, the Bios is P08, and Smart-2DH is 4.50 Rev.C. The drive's amber light is still on - even though it finished the rebuild, and is healthy. All I want is a Green Light!!!

Help Please.

Sounds like a problem with the scsi backplane rather than the drive (that's where the LEDs are located in an Ultra 2/3 cage)

Pat I have a 1600 that I can do nothing with because I can not get to the Smart-2DH with my Smart Start CD, can you lead my in the right direction.
