Proliant 1850R Processor Switch Settings
Hello
I just got an 1850R with PIII 500 Processors. I'm trying to install PIII 600's in it but I can't find the proper dip switch settings for the 600's anywhere.

Re: Proliant 1850R Processor Switch Settings
These settings should be set at the SW2 switch bank:
S1 S2 S3 S4 S5 S6
OFF ON ON ON OFF OFF
Unfortunately the latest maintenance and service guide doesn't have this info in it.

The truth is out there, but I forgot the URL..

Re: Proliant 1850R Processor Switch Settings
Hi there;
Locate SW2 on the systemboard - there should be a Map to it on the inside label of the server.
You will find 6 dipswitches there - from 1 to 6 they should be OFF, ON, ON, ON, OFF, OFF (the first four are the processor core settings for the 600MHz proc and the last two are *reserved* function and should always be off)
If you need the server maintenance and service guide, I'd be happy to mail you the pdf. It's too big too post here.
Email me at janine.bertolo@Hp.com.
Cheers!
