Proliant 1850R + Windows 2003

Have a pair of 1850r's that I'm trialing 2003 server on. However, whilst looking for support paq, I notice that the 1850r isn't supported. Anyone had any success?

The support pack is the same for all servers. The Win2003 support pack for an ML530 is the same one used on the PL1850R.

I have Win2003 running on a PL1600 6/500 and I'm not aware of any reason it won't install on the PL1850R. The only issue I had, which you will probably have also, was the fact the OS doesn't have any drivers for the embedded NIC.

I am also installing a SBS 2003 on a 1850R and had the problem with the NIC, that means that the only way to work it out would be to add a new NIC on the server?

No, that's not correct (I thought that too for a couple hours there while beating my head against this one) but the Netelligent driver for the 1850r can be found on the site for the embedded NIC, and you can install it, and it works perfectly under Windows 2003 Web Edition for me.

But as much as I dig into the website I am being able to find only drivers for Win 2000... If you happen to have the link where you found it I will gladly apreciate it.

Apologies for not being more specific, yes, I meant that the Win2k drivers work perfectly under Win2k3.
