Proliant 1850R powers up to standby only
I have problem that has be described by others here.
One server will start after a shutdown from the ups. Another server, will only go to standby.
Is there a way to correct this so the server will power up?

Re: Proliant 1850R powers up to standby only
Many thanks for the tip - UPS is OK. It appears that the DL380 also exhibits the same start up to standby. I may need to jump the power switch to get the server to power up fully.

Re: Proliant 1850R powers up to standby only
I just encountered the same problem and HP support is telling me that this is the way the system was design and that you must press the power button to get the system going.
Well, I do not believe that because we have another 1850R that starts without pushing the power button. So, after doing lots of reading and figuring out "what-ta". I found this little passage in the installation manual (Power Switch Security failure in pages 2-36 and 3-21).
If you need the manual, here is the url

Good luck
