Proliant 2500 boot issue

i have an old proliant 2500 and when i boot it up nothing shows on the moniter and the onboard LCD just lays dorment on the firmware screen. do i have to press a switch thing on the motherboard? if so how do i locate it?

Hi,

You could try defaulting the configuration by turning on switch 6 on SW1 on the system board, and powering on.

thanx but i tried flicking the switch on and the same thing happened. the service guide didnt help me fix the problem either

i figured that the problem doesnt lye with the ram so im not sure what to do next, any suggestions would be appreciated,

Hi,

I guess the next option would be to strip out any unnecessary PCI cards to see if any of those are causing the problem...
