Proliant 3000 Power up failed
Hello
I??ve got a Compaq Proliant 3000.
I??m not able to power up the server.
A green LED at rear on the power supply is coming up when the power cord is connected.
At the front the display is on ( Model I 56022 Firmware 1.9 ), but there is no reaction on the main switch!!
Any suggestions ?
Thanks

Re: Proliant 3000 Power up failed
Hi,
1. The Proliant 3000 has cover switches. The covers should be on the system. If that does not resolve the problem, try to figure out if these switches are functioning properly.
2. Do you see anything on your management display?
3. It takes a little while when you switch the machine on before the power led etc. go on.

Hello Leon
Thanks a lot, you were exactly right.

Re: Proliant 3000 Power up failed
Easy, go to this page:
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/locate/20_1112.html#4
Switch on your system and check what version your system is P09 or E39. DL the applicable file and run it. it creates a diskette. Cold boot from the diskette and hit enter when asked.
