Proliant 3000 - Rebuild

Hello-

I am rebuilding my 3000 for a backup Novell server and am trying to configure the array. I have (3)4.3G drives and (1)9.1GB drive. Can I make it all 1 logical drive? I run the array configuration utility, but cannot get it all together. I did get it under Array A, but as 2 logical drives. Then, when I went to reboot I get this error on my server:

Post Error
Code:BFh
1768 - Drive
Array Resuming
Logical Drive
Expansion
Process

Since I am new at this, I am not sure if I am going about this the right way.

Any and all help is appreciated.

Re: Proliant 3000 - Rebuild

You can, but it will only create an array of 4 4.3GB drives, the extra capacity of the 9.1 will be lost. The drives have to be identical capacity in an array.

Yes this is true. only same size partitions will be created on newer RAID controllers. Some older controllers would not accept different size drives at all.
