Proliant 3000 processor error

I have a 3000/300mhz dual processor server that is giving me processor 1 error I have replaced the processor and it still gives the same error. Do I need to run smartstart after replacing the CPU? Or can I put the terminator board back in and just have one processor in slot 2 and the terminator board in slot 1. I am running NT Server 4.0 with the multiprocessor kernel.

Hi,

You have to "repair" the error message in the F10 setup. I think it is configure this system and then it will ask you whether it is replaced/repaired.
