Proliant 310 G2: can't build a raid 1

Hi at all,

I have a problem with a HP Proliant 310 G2.
When I start ARRAY CONFIGURATION UTILITY, I see one HD in my list and not 2 hdd.

So i can't build the Array :-)

When the bios start, i see 2 hdd in my configuration. 2 Maxtor on the same PORT.

Why I see only 1 hdd ???
I need to build a RAID 1 array ...

Which SA controller ?
Is drives from HP only?
What is led status on drives?
Is there any error messages under IML?

Yes, I have order all device from HP.

Actually I have open the CASE:
i have only configured in the last year a DESKTOP PC ... uhmmm ... but I see only one
HDD in my CASE :-)

I think that is little bit difficult to build a RAID 1 with 1 hdd ^_^

I have try to find the HDD in all part of the case ... i see only one HDD ^_^

There are normal behaviur that HP send my a server Proliant with 1 HDD when i have request 2 hdd ??????????

Are you sure about Smart Array

and

Server come with
Storage Controllers
Single Channel Ultra320 SCSI Adapter (SCSI Models)
OR
Integrated four Channel SATA Adapter with Integrated ATA RAID 0, 1 (SATA Models)

which one we are talking about
SCSI OR SATA.

But inside the case I see 1 Hdd, I think that i need to insert the second hdd in second SLOT.

Hi, you must be activate the RAID controler on the proliant setup, is there some extended option and you can activate It.

The server have two concrtoller:

1) Intel 6300xxx/82802FR (Normal IDE controller).

2) Adaptec SATA RAID controller.

Normally the server works with the 1st controller.
