Re: Proliant 310g4 second disk ???
please give more information what are trying to do exactly or where is the problem?
- you have 2 HDDs and you see only 1? where do you see this?
- have you configured RAID or you are unable because of not seeing one of the HDDs?

Re: Proliant 310g4 second disk ???
The system has 2 hard drives 160GB SATA, located just behind the front panel (in 4 disk bay), but only one is visible in disks management
The Raid system doesn't detect any drive.
The disc does not appear in any place.
I can not give you more details.

Re: Proliant 310g4 second disk ???
do you know which controller are you using?
Maybe this one
SATA Models: Embedded SATA with integrated SATA RAID 0,1
now do you know RAID level you're using?
RAID 0, RAID 1?
Remember if you have RAID 0 you're going to get about 240 GB space on disk management but if you have RAID 1 you're going to get about 120 GB space
in case you have SATA controller you can use this utility
HP SATA RAID Controller Manager for Windows 2000/Windows Server 2003

Re: Proliant 310g4 second disk ???
I would like to use raid1, but if the system don't detect the second HDD, it's impossible, no ?
It's very confused !!!
I will try to remove the disc of the bay and try it on another computer, maybe the disk is defect?
What do you think?

Re: Proliant 310g4 second disk ???
so server has raid 0?
what if you install that application I told you before
you will see if you have RAID or not and also if you don't have RAID and you have the other HDD you will see the other HDD

Re: Proliant 310g4 second disk ???
When I watch HP Management System diagnostics, the second disk is connected and appears in the list.
But this disc does not appear in the management of the computer, both in Raid0 and Raid1.
What to do?
It's strange like behavior.
Thank you
Olivier
