Re: Proliant 330 G3 Server

Hi Cameron,
You need to replace the faulty drive from HP (same capacity disk). & do an initialization of array & restore the data,if it was being used for data storage or reinstall the O S if it was an Operating system drive.

And please make sure to atleast create RAID 5.

Re: Proliant 330 G3 Server

Hey ok thanks, will HP Replace the harddrive, are you saying even tho 1 harddrive is dead i could still recover the data off the other?

Re: Proliant 330 G3 Server

You can't recover data, as raid0 has no fault tolerance. If you had several disks with raid0, then you would be adding the drive to the existing raid0 array. But if you only had one disk as raid0, then just recreate the raid0 array, if you still want to with this setup.

Re: Proliant 330 G3 Server

Ho Ameron,
HP Gives Warranty on your server including the hard disk, If the disk was a part of your server order & still in Warranty or in any maintenance contract.

If you have purchased seperately then you have to go through the terms of purchase ( Normally HP gives 3-3-3 warranty on server products.
