Proliant 330ml with maxtor Atlas 73 GB scsi drive

I am trying to set up an server that will eventually have RedHat AS. I am trying to configure the SCSI drive.
I was in the SCSISelect menu, and in a haste I hit the low level format for the drive!!!

Now it has been running for well over 15 hours! Is this normal? How long do I let it run!
All I have flashing is that to Please wait, it may take minutes to several hours to format.

What happens if I reboot the server during this?

What are my options?

Hello,
If you reboot while the formatting is taking place then you would be failing the HDD. I know that's not what you want to hear but that's the truth. I did it once and would never do this again :)
