Proliant 370 server

We have a Compaq proliant 370 server - 733 MHz - Compaq 32-Bit SCSI Controller Driver
I don't know whether we could configure the raid function according to the server guide CD or not (because some one told me not to support raid configuration on this server, but only mirroring)

As per the configuration.
Server Shipped with :Integrated Dual Channel Wide Ultra2 SCSI Adapter (upgradeable with optional integrated Smart Array Controller)

So please confirm whcich controller you have on server. So we can suggest. where as if you have
32-Bit SCSI Controller
It does not going to create raid on server.

We need to have a SA from HP to have hardware raid on server.

I recognised to have a fault in my question about the Compaq 32-Bit SCSI Controller Driver, but as your answer I checked again and found it as Compaq Integrated Dual Channel Wide Ultra2 SCSI Controller. After the HDD being broken down, I could not install the raid and make a hotspare as others Server.

If this is the only controller you have in your server, it is not possible to configure H/W RAID. for that you must have a RAID controller . check if there is any integrated RAID controller.

I've a few ML370 server, as far as i know, the intergrated scsi does not uppot hardware raid, u need to plug in a seperate raid controller for raid 0+1 or raid 5 where it allows you to hot swap hard drive when one failed.
