Proliant 380DL G2
We have a Proliant DL380 G2. Whenever the system is rebooted, there seems to be a problem with the RAID controller initializing all the SCSI devices whereby the controller endlessly seems to be looking for SCSI devices. This only happens during a warm boot. If one shuts the machine off and then proceed to do a cold boot every works fine and the Server boot up. This is a big problem for remote maintenance. Any suggestions?

Re: Proliant 380DL G2

Re: Proliant 380DL G2
Hi Tony,
Have we tried to implement the BIOS update and controller firmware update for same server. If not then do it.
Secondry, when it is taking time to initializing the drive. recomended is to update the m&p patch from Hp site only and do verify your hdd since in some lots faulty hdd were there and there is a hdd identifier utility avable from hp only to validate same. that is with the same of HD identifier.
I case of further assistance or updates do revert back.
Regards,
Prashant S.

Re: Proliant 380DL G2
Thanks to both of you for the replies. I'll give that a try this coming week.
