Proliant 3K SmartStart failure

I have a Proliant 3000 single processor 333mhz with 128Mb RAM, onboard SCSI. I am starting with SS Ver 5.5 which stops at unable to find Adaptec CD-ROM no CD-ROM loaded. After a long period of time (more than several hours) it comes back with CD-ROM is loaded as Drive S:
Next line gives "the following file is missing or corrupted, command.com, type the name of the command interperter. Any DOS or other command just continues to return this statement.
Any ideas?

Hi,

Check with two thing.
Clearing NVRAM then try to install with OS CD Directly to validate the server and the drive.
