Proliant 4000 System Beep Code
I recently obtained a Compaq Proliant Series 400 I believe.. A sticked on the box says Series 4000.. The underside of the cover says 2500/2500R.
It is a rackmount, and can have two processors..
Anyway, when I attempt to boot it up, I do not get anything on the display and it gives 2 long beeps, then nothing...
Any idea what this beep means?
Thanks

Re: Proliant 4000 System Beep Code
Jsut to clarify.. I looked up the Serial number and for the Product ID it lists it as
PL2500R 6200 1 HPL US
so, I assume its a Proliant 2500R... I guess the 4000 sticker pertains to something else...

Re: Proliant 4000 System Beep Code
Hello Jason,
I would reseat everything in the system and then try to reboot. Usually it's the RAM or CPU. The best way to find out would be by reseating the obvious components.
Regards,
