Proliant 5000 Server power loop

We have a Proliant 5000 that keeps on restarting. I have removed both hot plugable hardrives. All the fans inside the server are working. The LED light on the system board is on. The LED light on the front of the chassis is on. The fan of the power supply is spinning. The system reboots at random intervals but never fails to reboot. I suspect the power supply. I need to know if someone has had the same problem with this type of server. Thank You.

Keith:

If you have tried to reduce the load on the server and it still sporatically reboots, it is likely a "weak" power supply.

One thing, before you replace it, have you seen any messages in the logs that could lead you to any other issue.

You can also be experiencing ASR, thermal events or system hangs...
Enjoy!

..also if you have the redundant power supply option make sure that you have power going to both power supplies.
