Hello Alan,
No you dont need to install anything at the BIOS level for SA431. Just make sure that you load the right drivers for the OS and then the array configuration configures the controller while you are rebuilding the server(Assuming you are starting from scratch). Please let me know if I can be of any assistance.

yes,we have done the full installation of Redhat 9.0 and the OS has recongise the 3 raid disks as one hard disk
The only problem i have is when i boot up, the system cannot boot from the raid disk instead i need to boot up from a floppy and then call the OS from the raid. I am still thinking some configuration or setup need to be done at the bios level
