Proliant 5500 Does not gives System Boot option
Please help me. I want to boot my 5500 with the smart start 5.50. The system does not give me any option to change the boot options.
It starts detects the CPU, give me option to configure ILO then checks cotnroller and then straight to F10 key for system partitions option and then straight boots to OS.
Please help thanks.

Re: Proliant 5500 Does not gives System Boot option
You can reconfigure the system setings with the System Configuration Utility (diskette version): http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/13227.html
Then you can set the "boot order and boot controller"...
Hope this helps! -John

Re: Proliant 5500 Does not gives System Boot option
Rahul,
From boot options do you mean A: CD C: or the boot controller.
To change the standard boot order from the SCU you need to go through the following from the System Configuration Utility:
System Configuration -> Power-On Defaults -> Set Standard Boot Order.
To set the boot controller order:
System Configuration -> Configure Hardware -> Review or Modify Hardware Settings -> View Or Edit Details -> look for the PCI slot in which your boot controller is installed and change the "Controller Order" to "First"
