Hello,
I have a Proliant DL580 G7 server in which two drives were replaced. These drives have old firmware installed, so I wanted to update the firmware after the rebuild was complete. The server runs Windows 2003 R2.
For example: According to ACU, the drive (HP EH0146FARWD) has firmware HPDB, and there is a new version available (HPDC, cp019258.exe). When I run the installer, I get a message that no device was found that could be loaded with the firmware.
See attachment for screenshots of ACU and the installer.
How can I upgrade the firmware of the affected disks?
Joost

SolutionI'm answering myself...
I transferred the SPP to an USB drive with the USB key utility, booted from that, and the firmware update worked. Still no idea what went wrong with the installation on Windows, but oh well, I'm up to date with firmware again.
