Proliant 6000 1611 Fan error after replacing with hot plug
I had a fan failure in the non-hotplug cpu fans. I replaced the non-hotplug fans with hotplug fans and now I get a 1611 error.
I have tried to reset NVRAM, but no change. When I reset it using swi-6 on swi-1 it did not do anything. Any suggestions.

Re: Proliant 6000 1611 Fan error after replacing with hot plug
Hello Bobby,
You cannot replace non hotplug fans with hot plug fans at all due to the system architecture. Error 1611 relates to failed fan. Once you replace the proper part then this error should go away.
Regards,

Re: Proliant 6000 1611 Fan error after replacing with hot plug
What? The proliant 6000 supports hotplug fans. It is an option. The server was bought without this option. So when I replaced it, I bought this option to replace it. It works just fine I am just getting this 1611 error.
