Proliant 6500 not seeing new HP 5300 Controller

Good morning, we installed a new 5300 controller into a Proliant 6500. It sees the new controller and array on boot ( as well as the original controller). We ran the Smart Start CD, added the new hardware, everything looked good. However, the Array configuration software does not see the new controller either ran from the system partition or running it after booting into NT.
Any ideas?

It is very possible this array controller is not supported on this server, after the array initializes you should have the option ti hit F8 to configure the array at the ROM level. If you do not have that option it could be that it is not supported or the ROM of the server may need to be updated.

which version of the ACU are you using. The one below picks up the SA5300

But still my assumption is it is going to work with the controller we have.
