Is it possible to install the OS(Windows or LINUX) from a CDROM connected to an additional SCSI Controller, instead of using the onboard controller, due to failures in the integrated controller or is it neccesary to replace the motherboard?

hi,
for booting from an additional SCSI controller, you have to change the boot controller order & boot devices order in setup.
