Proliant 760

I have one proliant server with 4 processors. I tried to add two more processors of same part number but it failed. In POST only I receive message " CPU Faulty". When I tried to put two working processors in similar CPU slots, they also failed now. Is there any known problem ?
Can anybody help me ?

Hello,
If the slots are fine then there should not be any problem installing CPUs. Just a coincidence that the CPU slots are shot. I am sure your server must be under warranty so have the defective parts replaced by calling in the Support line.

There is no known problem on this. It must work. It can be Dead on Arrival or some static/mishandling problem. Try with new processors. It must work.

In our case we did it successfully without any problem.
