Proliant 800 1611 fan failure error

I have a fan failure error that will not let me me boot my server. I bought a replacement fan but it does nto use the same motherboard power connector, so is working fine but I still get the error meesssage and can't boot.

Is there anything I can do until my Compaq replacement fan arrives?

Hello Erik,

Try clearing NVRAM, might help. I would strongly suggest you wait for the right fan and that should fix the problem.
