Proliant 800 (P02) & Matrox MGA Millenium II conflict

I just installed the Matrox videocard and the server gives me "1701-SCSI Controller Failure, System Board" error. I played a little with different PCI slots and IRQs to separate the video and SCSI but it didn't help. The old video was S3 Virge/DX and it worked fine except for colors which were dark. I've hoped that Matrox video will give me bright colors.

Could someone say anything about this problem ? Will the bios upgrade (it is currenly as of 06/06/97) help to fix this problem ?

Your help is greatly appreciated,

I had the same Problem with Millenium and a PL800 dual PPro.
SMART 2/P and onboard SCSI failed both.
Now its running fine with a Permedia II board.
