Proliant 8000 and windows server 2003
i got Proliant 8000, when i tried to install Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition, it cannot finish. it is stop when loading the DRVINDEX.INF file. i'm not sure what is the cause of this prob. for your info, my HDs are in RAID 1. i already format all the HD. but just cannot install the windows, seems it still reading the cd. i left it about 1 and half hours, and it still tried to load the inf file.

Are you following a manual install without the SmartStart CD? Have you clean disk for the install without a previous Smartstart install of other OS?

Hi
You can try to install the OS with 7.x smart start cd. Also check the BIOS settings if the OS is selected as windows.
