Proliant 8500

I'm getting scsi errors on boot but will boot after a few tries. I attemped to replace the io module but the cpu come up as 400's rather than the 700's CPu speed then hangs. Has anyone encountered this problem???

Thanks in advance

Dan:

Have you applied the latest ROM?

When you replaced the I/O module, did you Migrate the System Settings and update the system partition?

Re: Proliant 8500

Thanks guy's
I attempted to replace the I/O mod again the actual problem is the post fails with "unsupported cpu system halted" It willnot attempt to boot the flash on the floppy or the cd. the firmware rev date on this module is 1999 and the most current is 2003. It appears to be looking for 400 mz processors and cannot deal with the 700's I tried to clear the novran (sw-6) but this didn't work. do I need to find a 400mz system to do the upgrade?
