Proliant DL 320

We have a DL 320 G3 that is rebooting on its own. There is nothing obvious showing up in the event viewer that would tell us why either. This server is practicaly new and we need it up and running again soon. Has anyone else had this issue?

Re: Proliant DL 320

hi,

check the IML log for the server and disable the ASR for the server in BIOS for testing the reason for the reboot.

Re: Proliant DL 320

Disabling ASR will alow you to see the Event logs aftere a server reboot, also IML will report what was the cause of the reboot, I would update the server BIOS and all of its FW using the FW CD http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/locate/69_6053.html Under Firmware CD.

If after that the server keeps doing the same thing, I would bring the server to its minimal configuration, no PCI, minimum memory, minimum amount of proc... and ad them one by one until I get the part that causes the server to reboot.
