Proliant DL 360 G4p SATA version

The mentioned server with HP 8 port 64/133 SAS-SATA HBA does not rebuild failed disc
HELP!!!

What do you mean by that? Is the failed disk part of RAID 1 array? If that's the case is the other disk fine & are you able to access it?

Franko,

There was firmware update for this controller in 2005 (see below) that addresses an issue with the controller and server model you described. Maybe you need to make sure you're running the latest firmware for system and controller as well as the latest ProLiant Support Pack (7.51). Good luck.

All the latest firmware is installed on server, and Windows server 2003. The customer wanted to know what to do in case of disk failure. So we installed the server and then took one of disks out and replaced it with a new one (to simulate disk failure). But it doesn't work, no disk rebuild, nothing....

How does the array look when you launch the Array Configuration Utility? You might also want to run the Array Diagnostic Utility to see anything odd shows up.
