Proliant DL 360, Smart Array 5300 Controller
I am looking to replace the Integrated Array Controller with a Smary Array 5300 Controller. I removed the mini-controller chip to disable the Integrated Array Controller. Are there any additional steps (BIOS, etc...) I need to take?

You will need to, of course, connect the SCSI short cable.
I would bring the server as well as the 5300 Controller bios up to date. Yes!

Whoops, You will need to install the new 5300 Controller driver for your O/S.

Re: Proliant DL 360, Smart Array 5300 Controller
John,
Thanks for you quick response. I am currently not in front of the server. There is a connection on the DL 360 board to plug the second end of the scsi cable into?
