Proliant DL 380 - Base System Device

Bought refurbed Proliant DL 380 G3 servers. After loading Server 2003 from CD, On both servers, I get a "Bad System Device" under other devices. Everything seems to work OK, but what might that mean. Nothing in event viewer seems to relate to it. Anybody else have this problem?

You have to install all the device drivers, and chipset driver.

I always advice to start Windows OS installation by first booting the server with Smart Start CD

Else install the drivers manually.

I think a yellow bang on Base System Device under Other Devices is the iLO.

If not, reply with the device instance ID shown for the Base System Device, and I'll check. The device instance ID can be found under the Properties -> Details tab of the Base System Device.

Thanks, Kedd, that was it. 1 minute and solved! I suspected that but did not know where to find the driver.

I would love to assign 10 pints to Kedd, but I do not see a pull down menu for points. I am logged in, but it is not there.
