Proliant DL 380 G4 Windows 2003 DHCP address problem

I need a way to change the dynamic IP addresses of the blades or at least a way to find what dynamic addresses are assigned.
I believe a change by the Provider caused a change in the blades dynamic addresses. I tried to do a dongle with laptop and 192.168.1.2 assigned to NIC and use the browser address of 192.168.1.1 but will not connect.

Hi,

Make sure that the ARP cache on the laptop doesn't already have a MAC address assigned to 192.168.1.1.

If it does, you can start by getting rid of the cached address.

Start-Run-CMD.
At the DOS prompt type ARP -d 192.168.1.1

This will delete the entry in the cache.
Then you can try the dongle again on the front of the blade to access the ILO etc.

I hope this helps.

Re: Proliant DL 380 G4 Windows 2003 DHCP address problem

Ran the ARP cmd and result=The specified entry was not found and no dongle connect.

At the start I had a dhcp scope 192.168.40 thru 60 with 50 excluded. Ping with OK on the blade static 192.168.11.2 not OK on the old blade dhcp address. I changed the dhcp scope to 192.168.60 thru 100, dongled the first blade and set the dynamic range. after that I could not get to the blade. I disconnected all blades and rebooted them with no luck.

I would guess that I could reinstall from scratch but would rather avoid that.
